Carnarvon Community College is the sole government school servicing a diverse and aspirational community in Carnarvon, in the states North West. With advancing technology and the rise of social media, Carnarvon Community College needed to build a website to align with the goals of the school and the target audience.
School Needs
Specifically, the new school website needed to fulfill the following needs:
- promote the school in a positive light such that we increase the retention and build trust
- increase enrolments
- reduce front office enquiries through key information being accessible directly on the website
- provide a hub for communications with parents/students/teachers on school activities and news
- become a tool to build a reputation as a school of excellence
Solution
We recommended the development of a WordPress website, built from the ground up, with a custom design to convey the value that Carnarvon Community College adds to its community.
The new website was designed to:
- work seamlessly across all devices
- encourage the users to engage with the school online
- provide up-to-date information and contact details
- stand out from other high school websites
- have an intuitive interface to find information quickly
- build the trust between the community and the school
